Bio
I am a PhD candidate in the Digitalisation and Society programme at Østfold University of Applied Sciences (Norway). Grounded in Habermasian discourse ethics and the political economy of communication, my research evaluates the democratic potential of decentralised social networking protocols, particularly ActivityPub and the AT Protocol. My work investigates how these alternative digital infrastructures can sustain a deliberative public sphere in Europe and the structural conditions necessary for technological self-determination.
My analytical approach is built upon extensive academic training across the humanities and technology, holding Master’s degrees in Interaction Design and Advanced Journalism, alongside Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Comparative Literature. This theoretical foundation, complemented by applied experience in UX design and media production, informs my current research into European digital sovereignty. [+ info]
