Bunyol

A ‘bunyol’ or ‘brunyol’ is a mass of dough (usually made from water, yeast, and wheat flour with possibly some other ingredient), fried in oil. The shape of the ‘bunyol’ is generally round with a hole in the middle or a deep indentation that does not go all the way through, although any relatively similar shape can also be considered a ‘bunyol’. There are both sweet and salty versions.
